A/B testing for your Shopify store that never touches your theme.
Looplift is AI A/B testing and CRO for Shopify stores: it finds what to test, builds the variant, and runs it without writing a single line into your theme. You approve every launch.

The problem
Merchants aren't afraid of A/B testing. They're afraid of what a testing app does to their store.
We read the Shopify App Store's CRO & A/B testing category on 31 July 2026 — every listing, every review. What repeats in the low-rated ones is not statistics. It is what the app left behind.
- 385
- reviews read across the CRO & A/B testing category
- 73
- of them rated three stars or below
- 1
- of those 73 was about page speed
The app leaves code behind when you remove it
7% of those low-rated reviews describe exactly this: the app is gone from the admin, its markup is still in the theme, and cleaning it up has become a developer ticket. Looplift is one snippet — delete that line and 100% of Looplift is gone.
The app broke the theme it was meant to test
5% describe an app breaking the store or the theme. Looplift has no code path that writes to a Shopify theme, and never requests the permission that would allow one.
Testing apps start after the hard part
Most of the category assumes you already know what to test and have built the variant. Deciding what is worth testing on your storefront — the part that needs judgment — is still left to you.
How it works
One loop, running on your storefront
Add your store and an AI agent runs the whole loop — finding, building, testing, and reading the result. You review and approve; nothing goes live without your say-so.
Analyze
An AI agent reads your live storefront the way a CRO expert would — product pages, collections, cart, the whole path to checkout — and finds where shoppers drop off.
Generate
Turns each finding into a hypothesis and builds the variant against your real page content, ready to launch. Nothing is written into your theme.
Test
Splits your storefront traffic and shows the variant to one arm — only after you approve it. Your approval is pinned to the exact version you read.
Learn
Calls the result with a confidence interval instead of a live scoreboard, and explains in plain language why it won or lost. A test that hasn't earned a verdict is told so.
Lift
Keeps the lesson: what worked on your store ranks the proposals in your next audit, so each test starts from the last one.

What we test
Every surface of your storefront, up to the checkout boundary
Looplift tests what your store says and shows. Where Shopify owns the logic — price, stock, checkout — we stop, and we say so before you install rather than after.
Product pages
Where most Shopify revenue is won or lost. The densest source of testable decisions on the store.
- Add-to-cart prominence and placement
- Product title, benefit copy and bullets
- Trust badges, shipping and returns reassurance
- Review and social-proof placement
- Variant pickers and option labels
In scope
- Headlines, product copy and value propositions
- Calls to action — wording, placement, prominence
- Trust badges, guarantees and social proof
- The order of sections on a page, and what sits above the fold
- Product and collection page presentation
- Navigation labels, forms and content blocks
Out of scope, deliberately
- Prices, discount rules and promotions
- Shipping rates and thresholds
- Stock, fulfilment and inventory logic
- Payment infrastructure and restricted checkout regions
- Whole-theme or template swaps
- Server-side personalization
A change applied in the browser has no business owning price, stock or checkout. If price testing is what you need, Intelligems and ABConvert are built for it — we say so on their comparison pages.
Install
One snippet, and no theme edits from us — ever
Looplift connects to your store the way an analytics tag does. It never writes to your theme, never duplicates it, and never asks for the permission that would let it.
<script src="https://www.looplift.io/looplift.js" data-key="YOUR_STORE_KEY"></script>Paste one line into theme.liquid
Online Store → Themes → Edit code → theme.liquid, the same place an analytics tag goes. That is the entire integration, and it is the only thing Looplift ever asks of your theme.
Run the free audit and approve one test
The audit reads your live storefront and returns ranked proposals with the variant already built against your real page content. You approve the one you want to run.
Remove it by deleting that line
No cleanup script, no support ticket, no leftover markup. Your theme files are byte-identical to how they were before you installed.
Where we are today: Looplift is in private beta and is not listed on the Shopify App Store yet, so there is no one-click install — connecting a store means pasting the line above. The Shopify app itself is being built. The full picture, including what we cannot do.
Safety
Careful by design — and it never reaches your theme
Nothing changes on your storefront until you approve it. Every change is an allow-listed operation applied in the browser, so your theme files stay exactly as they were — and you can stop everything yourself, without contacting us.
Your theme stays untouched
No theme writes, no duplicated theme, nothing to clean up.
No legal or pricing changes
Prices, terms, and claims are off-limits to automation.
No sensitive form data
Passwords, payment data, and form contents are never collected.
Audit log (planned)
A full record of who approved what, and when, is on the roadmap.
Why this is the promise we lead with: across 73 negative reviews in the Shopify App Store's CRO and A/B testing category, 12% are about an app breaking a store or leaving code behind, and 1% are about flicker. Read the research.
Field notes

Alternatives
Where another app is the better buy
Most of the time one of these is. Each comparison states the case for the other app in its strongest form, and names the date every fact was true.
All comparisons — including a CRO agency, the big testing suites, and not testing at all.
